Animal Crossing SAL

Animal Crossing SAL: Frame

It’s time for us to pack our bags and set off for the deserted island of Animal Crossing!

And the frame IS your island!

You can get the pattern for free here:

The instalments will start arriving on your island on Jan 15th 2021, and will arrive on the 15th of each month.

These stitchalongs are released for free, and have been designed as a homage to the original works. All rights remain with their respective owners. People have asked me how they could show some appreciation for the time/effort involved, for which I have set up a ko-fi account. This is entirely voluntary, and much appreciated.

  1. Hi! I was wondering if there is any "interaction" between frame and installments. Explaining my point: if I want to move the pier or peninsula or add rocks on beaches (so it looks more like my in-game island) is it fine ? Or does the bottom right spot (for instance) absolutely need to be next to peninsula to "make sense" ? hope my question is understandable ^^'

  2. I don't have a mailing list, but I do have announcements on the facebook group.

Failing that, RSS feed notifications for the blog if you know how to work them. Otherwise, remember that 1st of month is Magic Kingdom, 15th of month is Animal Crossing

  3. Hey! am I missing somewhere, where it says the size of aida we need? I I know you have the stitch count for each individual stitches but do you have the size of the entire piece.

  4. The briefing doc that has the floss list also has the fabric sizes. I just put the stitched area of fabric for each type of fabric, as different people like different allowances around the design to work with. So add either 4 or 6 inches to those depending on your preference

  5. Hi! I’m ready to start stitching this frame (just found this SAL a few days ago), but I’m wondering how to work the boxes that have two colors in them? I see some that are divided horizontal, some vertical, and some diagonal. Also what about the boxes that are just like half a box of color? Thanks!

  6. Hey! I just found this lovely SAL and would like to join! I was wondering if you can share the required DMC colors and stitches for the whole project? I know that it should be a mystery what's about to come, so maybe you're willing to send it to me in private? Of course I wouldn't share this information. I need to purchase all the threads online and it's more convenient to buy them in bulk instead of every month.
